City Council approves change for live music at restaurants

The Austin City Council approved an ordinance that would waive fees and expedite applications for restaurants that request a legal change of use from restaurant to cocktail lounge. The change in use would allow those establishments to host live music at noise levels of 85 decibels instead of the permitted level for restaurants of 70 decibels...
