Thao and Mirah: Great Separate...Greater Together!? (Giveaway)

So how many members of different acts are required for supergroup status? The going rate for that oft-denigrated label is probably three, so we'll gladly call this a collaboration...The relentlessly effervescent Thao Nguyen, who usually works with her excellent band The Get Down Stay Down, and Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn, who has been crafting shattering tunes around her astounding vocal chords for years now, have joined forces for what is sure to be a fun and talented team...Only the third show on this tour, the dynamic twosome---awarded all sorts of critical acclaim independently---will see what they can do together, playing songs from both of their discographies (sounds like a sweet two for one deal, right?), as well as songs they've crafted together, and for each other...From the looks of this video, it'll be pretty damn good night at the Mohawk.

And the secret weapon of the night may turn out to be opener Led to Sea, the project of violist (yes, VIOLA) L. Alex Guy, whose compositions are just dandy and in the vein of her tourmates---we'll be looking forward to finding out what she can bring to the stage.
